Update: The Nike Air Max 270 in “Triple Black” is expected to release on March 26th, 2018 (Air Max Day) for $150.With thirty years in the books, Nike’s Air Max saga is aiming to keep up the fierce momentum with innovative performance runners and coveted retro runners alike. In 2018, the brand is taking things in a different direction with the Air Max 270, a brand new silhouette that features the first-ever new Air Max unit designed specifically for a lifestyle/casual shoe. The external Air-heel-bag is the clear centerpiece of this upcoming sneaker, which utilizes a lightweight foam midsole at the forefoot, an engineered mesh upper, and a slip-on bootie construction. Several colorways are in the works for a release beginning in February. This “Triple Black” version will release on March 16th. MSRP is set at $150.
Nike’s newest Air Max innovation – the Air Max 270 – is set to make its world debut soon, with multiple colorways equipped with engineered mesh uppers are scheduled for February 1st releases. Now, the Swoosh has plans to add its cutting edge Flyknit material to its new lifestyle-geared design that features the first every Max Air unit that is built with all-day utility in mind. This particular Dylan Raasch designed model sports a tri-colored design that is highlighted by a mix of blue an orange that add color to the otherwise grey aspects of the silhouette. No official release information has been made available for the Flyknit-infused 270, but an Air Max Day release is likely, as well as a higher price point.

KD Shoes />Upd ated on September 12th, 2016: The Undefeated x Nike Air Max 97 “Black” releases exclusively at Undefeated on September 16th, 2017 for $180, followed Nike SNKRS on September 21st, 2017 for $180.Los Angeles-based Undefeated has teamed up with Nike plenty of times in the past, working on grails like the Undefeated Air Jordan 4, celebrating the Low Riders and the Nike Air Huarache, and revisiting classics like the Cortez and Air Force 1. 2017 brings perhaps their most anticipated collaboration with the Swoosh since the extremely lim ited Jordan 4 in the form of the Undefeated Nike Air Max 97 in honor of the shoe’s 20th anniversary celebration. While a release date is still unknown, you can expect this pair to release during the Fall 2017 season.Undefeated honors the Air Max 97‘s history through paying tribute to Italy’s favoritism of the model. The wavy side panel stripes return featuring Gogre Green and Speed Red with some ‘Undefeated’ branding matching the boutique’s signature tally logo on the insole. Reflective 3M hits remain while an all black upper boasts premium patent leather on the mudguard. This black pair is rumored to be more readily available than the recently previewed Undefeated Air Max 97 “White” but stay tuned for more confirmation on that in the future.
By now, Nike has made it abundantly clear what its intentions are for its initial Air Max 270 drop. Keeping things simple and easy, the Swoosh is dressing its lifestyle-engineered uppers with simplistic and tonal colors schemes and adorning its heel unit with hits of color for any mood. Ranging from volt to red, and most hues in between, fans of the newest Air Max creation will have plenty to choose from when the shoe makes its long awaited debut this week. There are many design elements to Christian Tresser’s Nike Air Max 97 creation, but the ones that stand out the most are the inspirations provided by the speedy bullet trains of Japan and the uniform lines of a running track. Blended together, those points of interest have become the primary identity of this running shoe that has since been one of the most recognizable sneakers in history. Nike’s about to deliver a speedier look as this new Ultra offering features even more sleek lines that fully encircle the shoe on the mudguard area. Release information for this lightweight Air Max 97 option haven’t been revealed, but we presume these will drop before year’s end.
There’s already a gold and silver, so it makes total sense to round out the metallic trio and release a bronze colorway of the Nike Air Max 97. That’s coming much sooner than expected because this “Metallic Red Bronze” colorway of last year’s prominent Air Max retro is se t to drop on January 11th overseas. It features a metallic finish of the darker reddish hue and a tan/brown upper nylon, while the black interior, consistent with the “Silver Bullet” and “Metallic Gold”, to finish off the look. A U.S. release date hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but expect them to hit stores not long after this weekend; Europe will stock these on January 18th.
NBA Shoes />Isn’t it a guilty pleasure to see Nike’s most iconic original color themes be placed on other models? Nike hits us with a surprise Air Max 97 release as the shoe’s 20th Anniversary winds down, adding the unforgettable “Neon” colorway to the speed train-inspired design by Christian Tresser. What makes this colorway transplant such a fitting match is that the “tracks” on the upper achieve the same gradient effect as the Air Max 95. Unfortunately, these are lim ited to women’s sizing, unless the Swoosh wants to surprise us again with a men’s release. In the meantime, grab the appropriate pair on Titolo and wait for these to appear at other retailers soon.

Updated October 2nd, 2017: The Nike Air Max Plus 97 will release on October 13th.Back in 2008 Nike released a rather pleasing hybrid Air Max model, pairing the Air Max Plus upper with the full-length Air unit of the 97. While that hybrid Air Max 97 Plus didn’t quite send massive shockwaves through the world of sneakers, it taught us that sole-swaps were just fine – as long as the right selections were made. Nearly a decade after its debut, the Air Max 97 Plus just made a surprise comeback as this clean black/white pair just surfaced at Supply Store in Australia. What would really be interesting if Nike did the reverse – release the Air Max 97 upper with the Tuned Air. Of course, Nike an RevolutionAir Sean Wotherspoon are releasing an Air Max 97 with an Air Max 1 sole on Air Max Day 2018.
